Description:
Island Mainstage Ushers support the Front of House Manager in delivering excellent customer service during events. Ushers maintain a guest-focused attitude, assist patrons in finding seating (GA and ADA), ensure aisles are kept clear, and help orient guests. This role requires the ability to work on one’s feet.
Requirements:
Must be able to walk and stand for six hour shifts.

Description:
The ADA Accessibility Concierge will receive training from an ADA Specialist and work within the ADA Accessibility Lounge. Responsibilities include welcoming guests with disabilities, answering accessibility questions, providing a calm and comfortable space for rest, and managing the loan of noise-canceling earmuffs and fidget toys.

Description:
Information Booth Volunteers work inside the Exhibit Hall under the direction of the Fair Office. Responsibilities include greeting attendees, assisting with lost and found inquiries and reunions, providing information, and responding to questions and concerns. The Information Booth also serves as the Lost Child reunion point. This role requires a friendly, positive attitude and the ability to troubleshoot and remain calm under pressure.

Description:
Showcase Theater Ushers provide customer service to patrons, ensure that food and beverages are not brought into the theater, call for utility service as needed, and provide guests with information. This role requires a customer service mindset, the ability to troubleshoot, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Support the Barnyard area by maintaining a welcoming environment. Provide basic information and directions to guests, monitor entrances and exits for safety, oversee food and beverage activity, and help direct guests to daily schedules.

Must be able to lift 10lbs & Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods. Must have strong Customer Service Skills, Ability to troubleshoot and stay calm under pressure.

Description:
Assist children and families with hands-on art-making activities in the Marin Cultural Association’s Arts Studio. Ensure art supplies and materials are properly stocked, safely used, and that the space remains tidy. Provide information, answer guest questions, and monitor entrances and exits for safety.

Must be able to lift 10lbs & stand for up to four hours; experience working with children or artistic background a plus
Description:
The Carnival Accessibility Escort will receive training from an ADA Specialist and assist guests with disabilities who require help navigating the carnival and ride lines. During a shift, volunteers may be assigned to escort a guest or family for up to two hours. Volunteers must be able to stand and walk for up to two hours across varied terrain, including gravel, pavement, grass, and metal ramps. When not escorting guests, volunteers will serve as ADA Accessibility Concierges. Concierges staff the ADA lounge, welcome guests with disabilities, answer accessibility-related questions, provide a calm and comfortable space for rest, and loan out noise-canceling earmuffs and fidget toys. This role operates both in the ADA Accessibility Lounge and outdoors on the fairgrounds.
Physical Requirements:
Volunteers serving in this position should be able to stand and walk for up to 2 hours across terrain including gravel, pavement, grass and metal ramps.
Description:
Guide participants through activities, distribute and manage supplies, and assist in collecting completed materials. Provide clear instructions and answer participant questions. Monitor supply levels, keep the area organized and stocked, ensure materials are returned after use, collect completed paper quilt pieces and “Letters to the Future” submissions, and maintain a clean, safe, and inviting activity space.
