If you are a person with a disability and require an accommodation to participate in a County program, service, or activity, requests may be made by calling 415-473-4381 (Voice), Dial 711 for CA Relay, or by submitting a Disability Accommodation Request at least five business days in advance of the event. We will do our best to fulfill requests received with less than five business days’ notice. Copies of documents are available in alternative formats upon request.

Where can I find more accessibility information and services while I am at the Fair?

The ADA Accessibility Lounge is an indoor, air conditioned quiet zone with comfy seating where guests with disabilities can come by to take a rest and learn more about our accommodation policy. Our trained ADA Concierge volunteers can assist with loaning out noise-canceling ear protection and fidgets. Drop a note in the ADA Concierge suggestion box to help make future fairs more accessible to all!

Does the Fair Offer a Low-Sensory Experience in the Carnival?

Yes, on the morning of Thursday, July 3rd the Fair will offer an opportunity for guests to enjoy select Carnival rides with no amplified sounds or strobing lights. Any guests with disabilities wishing to take part in the sensory-friendly experience should reach out to michelle.barsky@marincounty.gov or 415-473-5062 for more details and to schedule their visit 48 hours in advance.

Are there wheelchairs or other mobility devices for rent and/or use at the Fair?

Wheelchair and stroller rental equipment will not be available at the Fair. Visitors with accessibility needs will be responsible for bringing their own mobility devices. It is advised that those with accessibility needs bring any device that may make their Fair experience more enjoyable. Additionally, the Fair will provide multiple seating areas that may be used for periods of rest.

Is there accessible parking and where is it located?

Accessible Parking is available at the Main Gate and Carnival Gate Parking Lots.

Is there an accessible loading zone for dropping off visitors with disabilities close to the entrance?

Yes, the ADA Drop-Off Zone is located in the Main Gate Parking Lot. People dropping off visitors with disabilities should enter at the Avenue of the Flags and state their purpose. The parking lot attendant will escort the vehicle to the ADA drop-off and then guide it out of the parking lot so that the driver may find parking elsewhere. These measures are taken to ensure everyone’s safety at the Fair.

Are Accommodations Available for Guests with Disabilities Needing Assistance Navigating the Carnival?

Yes, you may make arrangements in advance to be paired with a Carnival Accessibility Escort.  The Carnival Accessibility Escorts will be able to provide you assistance navigating the Carnival, including front of line access if needed, for a one-hour period between the hours of 11:00am and 2:00pm.

Are discount tickets available for individuals with disabilities or groups or tours that are comprised of individuals with disabilities?

Pre-sale tickets will be available at a discounted price online. To receive the discounted price, tickets must be bought online before entering the fairgrounds. Pricing varies depending on age and if individuals have served or are serving in the military. If you are a person with a disability and have difficulty accessing the online ticket purchase system, please contact the number below.

Are there accessible restrooms and where are they located?

Every restroom location on the fairgrounds includes an accessible restroom. See our map for all restroom locations.

Are companion care facilities available while I am at the fair?

Yes, Companion Care is available inside of the Momentum Refresh mobile unit located near the Community Stage. The mobile unit is equipped with comprehensive features, including an overhead ceiling hoist, height-adjustable adult changing tables, sinks, showers, and customizable grab bars.

What is the process for individuals with disabilities to request accommodations?

Accommodation requests should be received at least 5 days prior to your visit to ensure the Fair is able to meet your request. Please submit a Disability Accommodation Request or call the number below.
