Renowned for presenting world-class music, the Marin County Fair announces a stellar lineup of bands on July 1, 2, 3, and 5, and a day-long tribute band music fest on July 4, all free with the price of general admission.
No Gold Circle tickets available this year. All Fair tickets include general admission to the headline concerts on a first-come, first-served basis for standing room and seated options. Access to the island stage begins at 6pm each night and at 2pm on July 4.

With a blend of funk, soul, R&B, rock, and psychedelia, The Family Stone keeps the music of Sly and the Family Stone alive on stages around the world. This year, The Family Stone is celebrating the 60th anniversary of Sly and the Family Stone. Formed in 1966 in San Francisco, Sly and the Family Stone made history as the first major multi-racial, multi-gender touring band. They performed at Woodstock and in 1972, they were among the first artists to record at Sausalito’s legendary Record Plant studio.

Steel Pulse songs and lyrics continue to engage controversial topics of racial injustice and human rights on a global scale. Themes are as potent and relevant today as they were at the beginning of their career. Hailing from Birmingham, England, Steel Pulse emerged in 1975 with music that provokes thought toward global unification. Lupita studied Ethnomusicology at UCLA and joined the school’s renowned Mariachi de Uclatlán, which is the oldest university mariachi in the United States with an over 50-year trajectory. Studying ethnomusicology gave Lupita the chance to rediscover Pedro Infante’s legacy through the works of academics: “I would write about Mexican music and research women in mariachi music, and study machismo in Mexican music and how that translated through my grandfather. I think that was a lot more interesting than if I had majored in vocal
performance.” To pay her tuition, she worked as a Lyft driver. She graduated from UCLA in 2017. “I was driving for Lyft to be able to pay my bills. I knew I wasn’t the kind of person who was going to be stuck in an office, even though it meant sacrificing that security.”
Despite Lupita coming from an iconic lineage, she has overcome boundaries to achieve commercial and critical success within her career. As a 2x GRAMMY@ nominee, Lupita Infante is solidifying her place as a leading female face in Musica Mexicana, while simultaneously becoming one of the most critically adored Musica Mexicana artists of the new generation.

Lupita estudió Etnomusicología en UCLA y se unió al reconocido Mariachi de Uclatlán de la universidad, el mariachi universitario más antiguo de Estados Unidos con más de 50 años de trayectoria. Estudiar etnomusicología le permitió redescubrir el legado de Pedro Infante a través del trabajo de académicos: “Escribía sobre música mexicana e investigaba a las mujeres en el mariachi, también estudiaba el machismo en la música mexicana y cómo se traducía eso a través de mi abuelo. Creo que eso fue mucho más interesante que si me hubiera especializado en interpretación vocal.” Para pagar sus estudios, trabajó como conductora de Lyft. Se graduó de UCLA en 2017. “Conducía para Lyft para poder pagar mis cuentas.
Sabía que no era el tipo de persona que iba a quedarse encerrada en una oficina, aunque eso significara sacrificar esa seguridad.”A pesar de provenir de un linaje familiar icónico, Lupita ha atravesado múltiples desafíos para alcanzar el éxito en su carrera.
