The Marin County Fairgrounds are located at 20 Avenue of the Flags, San Rafael, CA 94903, on the Marin County Civic Center campus just off Highway 101.
We encourage fairgoers to leave their cars at home and take advantage of the many transportation options available due to heavy traffic and high parking demand during the Fair!
Marin Transit has historically offered free fares on all fixed-route buses countywide during the five days of the Fair. Additional buses and extended hours are typically provided during Fair week. The fairgrounds are directly accessible via Route 35 and Route 49, with nearby service on Route 71 and Route 233.

Ride the SMART train directly to the Civic Center Station, which is steps from the fairgrounds. In addition to the regular schedule, SMART provides late-night service after the fireworks so you can enjoy the show without worrying about your ride home.

Traveling from San Francisco or other parts of the Bay Area? Take Golden Gate Transit to the San Rafael Transit Center, then transfer to Marin Transit Route 35 or 49 to reach the fairgrounds.

Free and extended bicycle parking is available daily from 11 AM to 11 PM at the Main Gate, near the Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium.
Vehicle and motorcycle parking is available for $25 in all County parking lots. Parking payment is cashless, so please bring a credit card. Parking is limited and fills up quickly, especially on July 4.
Directions from US-101 Northbound: Exit at Frietas Parkway, then turn right onto Civic Center Drive. The Marin Center is on your left.
Directions from US-101 Southbound: Exit at Frietas Parkway and turn left. Turn left again, then right onto Civic Center Drive. The Marin Center is on your left.
Uber, Lyft, and other rideshare services can drop you off near the fairgrounds. Look for designated rideshare drop-off zones near the main entrance. Be aware that surge pricing and pickup delays are common during peak Fair hours, especially after fireworks.
